December 6: LWVCT Fall Conference, Old
Judiciary Room, State Capitol, 9am to noon
The Fall Conference: “Does My vote Get Counted?”
is coming up fast! The LWVCT has set up an interesting session: we will
have a great chance to talk with the Deputy Secretary of the State
Lesley Mara about how the recent election worked from our
viewpoint--working at the polls or helping beforehand. Do you have
questions? Suggestions? Observations? If so, we'll also have Senator
Gayle Slossberg from the GAE Committee, and Luther Weeks from CT Voters
Count. The conference will also offer a chance to hear from Carol
Mellor, one of the national study group members about the National
Popular Vote compact among several states. Connecticut may be
considering this proposal in the next legislative session.
